Optimisation and Features with the New Version of MDM+ BRO (5.4.7.)

The new version 5.4.7 of our MDM+ BRO solution is now available. This update has been developed with the aim of offering improvements, new functionalities and bug fixes.

Version 5.4.7 of MDM+ BRO integrates new features that expand the solution’s capacitie, providing greater control and flexibility in the management of your company’s master data. The new MUB/BRO Portal Business Partner Monitoring Module is almost here!

We will soon be launching the new MUB/BRO Portal Business Partner Monitoring module, a tool designed to centralise and optimise the management of all your business relationships.

With this launch, you will have at your disposal an intuitive Cockpit that offers a clear and comprehensive view of the status of your Suppliers, Customers, Employees, Service Providers and much more – all under control in one place.

General Notices

MDM+ BRO Refresh in Development or Quality Environments

Dear Customer,

In order to guarantee the continuity and performance of the MDM+ BRO product, we would like to inform you that, during periods of refresh of the DEV and QAS environments, it will be mandatory to open a call via the Service Desk linked to the AMS support contract (or via Non-Contract Service) for technical action.

This measure ensures the correct monitoring of demands and the organisation of activities during the environment refresh process.

Below we detail the standard flow adopted by the AKQUINET team during the refresh after the ticket has been opened, with the planned dates on which the refresh will take place:

🕒 On the last day before the refresh

  • Tickets with the status ‘Waiting for customer feedback’ will be moved to the status ‘On hold’.
  • An interaction will be recorded in the ticket informing about the refresh in QAS.
  • Service will resume on the same ticket as soon as the environment is available again.

Technical backup carried out:

  • Backup of rules and objects for the DEV environment.
  • Backup of objects from the /hks/b_wf_cfg folder to the DEV environment.

✅ After the refresh has been completed

Technical re-imports:

  • Requests that were in the environment before the refresh will be reimported into QAS.
  • Reimport of objects from the /hks/b_wf_cfg folder.
  • Reimport of rules and objects from all decision areas.

Complementary actions:

  • Mass activation of all decision rules.
  • Evaluation of logs and correction of any errors.
  • Regeneration of decision rules.

Testing and resumption of services:

  • Carrying out end-to-end tests on the main processes.

For tickets:

  • Awaiting return from customer’: akquinet will reproduce the tests, and the ticket will be returned to the customer for further validation.
  • In service’: service will resume as normal.

We emphasise that all requests during this period must be formalised via the Service Desk, which will ensure correct planning and traceability of actions.

Modernising master data management with MDM+ BRO

Ferroeste Group, an industrial benchmark in sustainable steelmaking and agro-energy, was facing critical challenges related to the standardisation and quality of master data information, especially in the Materials and Services processes in SAP. With a high volume of requests, reliance on e-mails and manual processes, the company was looking for greater efficiency, control and governance.

To overcome these obstacles, the Group implemented MDM+ BRO, a Master Data Governance solution from akquinet Brasil, completing the project in just five months and involving 16 business areas.

Among the main results achieved are:
