With more than 600 high-quality products distributed nationally to 98% of pharmacies in Brazil, it has been one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry over the last decade.
Before the platform was deployed, master data management at CIMED was mostly handled through email exchanges, supported by spreadsheets used to track and follow up on requests.
The process involved more than 50 different flows, covering creation, extension and modification of data — a complex ecosystem that required constant interaction between multiple areas and a series of manual validations along the way.
Even though the model was able to meet business demand, it came with high operational effort and had clear limitations in traceability, standardization and scalability. In practice, it was functional but increasingly detached from the agility, governance and efficiency required by the company's growth.
