Suvinil, currently part of Sherwin-Williams, has more than 60 years of history and is the leader in the Brazilian paint market. Present in every corner of the country, it offers hundreds of products, thousands of colors and special services, designed to make painting easier.
Suvinil, the Brazilian leader in the paint market, faced challenges managing tasks and communicating with its vendors. With a volume of around a thousand monthly requests, the Logistics area needed an efficient solution to centralize the management of vendor activities, ensuring control and traceability of information, and eliminating the large workload caused by informal email-based communication.
Suvinil used a traditional market platform to manage these processes. The biggest challenge was to share information with vendors so they could take the required actions in the shortest possible time. The platform did not offer a portal where vendors could access this information simply and effectively. The information flow happened mostly outside the system — via emails, Teams and phone — driving delays and rework in the company's processes.
After researching market solutions and innovation hubs, Suvinil chose MUB® to solve informality and productivity issues in vendor processes. Beyond the operational flows, governance rules were defined — a key element to sustain the improvements delivered during the project. With fully customizable workflows, Suvinil configured processes involving internal areas and vendors, starting with the main one — the Returns Process — and expanding to more than 10 custom processes. The Vendor Portal centralized all interaction, ensuring traceability and transparency. After just three 1-hour training sessions, the Suvinil team gained full autonomy to configure new processes on the platform.
